    While running JSSE2 with PKCS11 on z/OS, the exception is
    encountered on a handshake when the SSLSocket's
    setNeedClientAuth is set to true. This exception is seen for
    protocols: SSLv3, SSL, SSL_TLS, TLS, TLSv1.1.
    

Local fix

  • 1. Use TLSv1.22. Disable client authentication
