Problem summary

  • Add support for integration of Omegamon agents with SmartCloud
    Analytics Log Analysis (SCALA).
    
    The CTIRA_SYSTEM_NAME environment variable is used to set the
    <NM></NM> tags which is required to be the hostname of the
    system in order for SCALA integration to work.
    The CTIRA_HOSTLOC environment variable is being added which will
    be used by portal code to set the system node(group name) in the
    Tivoli Enterprise Portal navigator tree with the SMFID.  This is
    required because the system node in the portal navigator tree
    would be set to the hostname set by CTIRA_SYSTEM_NAME if
    CTIRA_HOSTLOC was not also coded.
    
    In order for this APAR to be properly implemented in your
    environment, a new environment variable CTIRA_HOSTLOC has been
    added.  See the "Install Actions" section of the APAR conclusion
    for more details.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Install Actions:
    ----------------
    A new agent configuration parameter CTIRA_HOSTLOC has been
    added.   The value specified will be used for display in the
    Tivoli Enterprise Portal navigator tree which can be different
    from CTIRA_SYSTEM_NAME.
