APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: Native memory leak is observed in the application
when NetworkInterface.getHardwareAddress() is called many a
times in AIX JDK. And when NetworkInterface.isUp() and
NetworkInterface.isLoopback() is called many a times in other
Unix based platforms.

Problem summary


    

  • The problem is caused due to some malloc chunks that are not
freed.

  • The code is updated to free up the unused memory appropriately.
