Error description
Error Message: JVM crashes with GPF . Stack Trace: Corefile analysis will show that the failing method isTR_AMD64SystemLinkage::computeMemoryArgSize .
Local fix
The javacore will indicate the method being compiled at the time of failure (often this will be some form of generated code such as from XSLTC). The method can be excluded from JIT compilation using-Xjit:exclude={package/className.methodName(*}Nested packages are separated using '/', e.g. {a/b/c/Class.method(*}Alternatively the problem can be avoided by using-Xjit:disableOSR
Problem summary
The problem occurs when compiling a method with a very large stack frame while attempting to support the on-stack-replacement (OSR) capability that permits transitions from jitted code to the interpreter from within the method.
Problem conclusion
The JIT has been modified to cope with very large stack frames while preparing for OSR transitions. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR2 FP10 (7.1.2.10) Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
