IV62950: FOCUS GOES TO GRANDPARENT WHEN MODAL JDIALOG DISPOSE ON JDIALOG
Closed as program error.
Error Message: When a Modal dialog with the parental chain as below is disposed, focus goes to grand-parentgrand-parent : JFrame with JTextField (say T1).parent : JDialog (with parent as JFrame) created from keyEvent on T1. This JDialog also has a JTextField (say T2)child : Modal Dialog (with parent as JDialog) created from keyEvent on T2.After child i.e., Modal Dialog disposes, expected behaviour is to set the focus back to the T2 on parent (JDialog). However, focus goes to T1 on grand-parent. . Stack Trace: N/A . The issue happen with "XFCE4" window manager.
The problem is caused when the conflicting Xwindow ATOM _NET_WM_STATE_SKIP_TASKBAR and _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE_DIALOG being set on JDialog. WindowManager specification says "_NET_WM_STATE_SKIP_TASKBAR" should not be set if _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE conveys same message".
Swing code has been corrected to remove the Xwindow ATOM "_NET_WM_STATE_SKIP_TASKBAR" . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR8 (22.214.171.124) 7 R1 SR2 (126.96.36.199) .
