Error description

  • Error Message: In multi-tenant mode verbose log on NUMA enabled
    machines shows very high percentace of non-local memory is used.

    Verbose gc log contains many entries with 99% non-local memory.
    Example entry:<numa common="2887424" local="0"
    non-local="550945096" non-local-percent="99" />

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by incorrectly attributing all tenant
    memory to non-local NUMA nodes.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The JVM has been updated to correctly attribute tenant memory to
    the appropriate NUMA nodes (local and non-local).
    .
    This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
       7 R1 SR1 FP1   (7.1.1.1)
