Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by the wrong order of getting the two
locks(LogManager, LogManager$SystemLoggerContext).

Problem conclusion

  • Logging has been updated to ensure the lock of LogManager is
always obtained prior to the lock of
LogManager$SystemLoggerContext.
.
This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
   6    SR16 FP2  (6.0.16.2)
   6 R1 SR8 FP2   (6.1.8.2)
.
