Error Message: JVMSHRC361E Error while attaching to the shared memory during open/createJVMSHRC336E Port layer error code = -524888JVMSHRC337E Platform error message: shmat : Permission deniedJVMSHRC028E Permission DeniedJVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9shr27(11): JVMJ9VM009E J9VMDllMain failed . Stack Trace: N/A .
Local fix
Modify permission of associated shared memory to make it read-write.
Problem summary
If the permission of shared memory associated with a non-persistent shared class cache is read-only, then the JVM will not be able to attach to the shared class cache in read-only mode via -Xshareclasses:readonly.
Problem conclusion
The JVM has been updated to attach to the shared memory associated with the shared class cache as read-only when -Xshareclasses:readonly is specified. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR1 FP1 (7.1.1.1) 7 SR7 FP1 (7.0.7.1) 6 R1 SR8 FP1 (6.1.8.1) 6 SR16 FP1 (6.0.16.1) .
