  • Error Message: Lower version JDK .exe package unable to reset
    the higher as System JVM on uninstall in case of multiple JDK
    co-existence on Windows

Local fix

Problem summary

  • In case of co-existence with  major releases on uninstall of
    lower version, the uninstaller is unable to reset higher version
    as the System JVM leading to java -version failure.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
       7    SR7       (7.0.7.0)
       7 R1 SR1       (7.1.1.0)
       6    SR16      (6.0.16.0)
       6 R1 SR8       (6.1.8.0)
    .
    Packaging scripts are updated to set the existing higher JDK
    version installed on the System as the System JVM before
    uninstall.
