APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: JVM gets terminated abnormally after a JVM
    restart.
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .

Local fix

  • This issue can be worked around by disabling AOT compiler using
-Xnoaot command line option or configuring the JVM to not use
the shared classes cache. Note, disabling AOT or shared classes
cache is a trade off to the performance benefits it brings in.

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by a bug in JVM that allows multiple
entries of AOT metadata to be added to the shared classes cache.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
       6 SR16 (6.0.16.0)
    .
The JVM has been updated to prevent multiple entries of AOT
metadata into shared classes cache when multiple JVMs are
    attached to same shared cache.
