APAR status

  • Closed as documentation error.

Error description

  • Enabling SSL is documented in the SUA 2.2 infocenter.  However,
    there is no documentation provided for disabling it.
    
    Here are the instructions provided by Level 3:
    ================================
    The <installation_directory>\BigFix
    Enterprise\TEMA\config\jetty.xml file
    contains the configuration
    information regarding whether to use SSL or not. If the class
    in the
    connector is
    'org.mortbay.jetty.security.SslSelectChannelConnector' then
    SSL is configured.
    .
     To stop using SSL, change jetty.xml:
      a. remove the section specifying
    'org.mortbay.jetty.security.SslSelectChannelConnector' from
    <Call
    name="addConnector"> to </Call>.
      b. Restore the http connector - specify the correct value for
    the port
        <Call name="addConnector">
           <Arg>
               <New
    class="org.mortbay.jetty.nio.SelectChannelConnector">
                  <Set name="port">80</Set>
               </New>
           </Arg>
        </Call>
       Note: This can be cut/pasted from the jetty.xml.sample file
    in the
    same location.

      c. Restart the Tivoli Endpoint Manager Analytics service
    .
    Note: You may also want to remove any files from
    TEMA\config\keystore
    ================================
    

Local fix

  • Use the above steps to disable SSL.
