Error description

  • Error Message: Unhandled exception
    Type=Segmentation error vmState=0x000529ff
(In 5.0 and 6.0, the precise vmState number might be slightly
    different.)
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .

Local fix

  • -Xjit:disableLoopCanonicalization

Problem summary

  • The Loop Canonicalization optimization neglected to consider one
possible sequence of code in a method. When it encountered that
sequence, the optimization transformed the method in an
incorrect way, leaving the JIT compiler's internal data
structures in an incorrect state, which lead to a crash during a
    later optimization.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR15 FP1
    6.0.1 SR7
    7.0.0 SR6
    5.0.0 SR16 FP5
    .
The Loop Canonicalization optimization has been fixed to support
    the neglected code sequence.

Temporary fix
