  • There is no workaround for this problem.

Problem summary

  • The problem is related to a new feature introduced in Java 7 to
support dynamically typed languages in the JVM.  Two JNI natives
related to JIT compiler support for this feature were not zAAP
eligible on zOS.  This may result in a small increase in CPU
time usage on Java workloads exploiting the new dynamically
typed method invocations.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
7.0.0 SR6
.
The JVM has been updated to make the affected JNI natives zAAP
eligible.
