  • Error Message: When using -Xgc:classUnloadingKickoffThreshold on
    Java 6.0.1 and Java 7, the GC ignores the value and does not
    kick off a GC when the class unloading threshold is reached
    .

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused by the incorrect reinitialization of the
    class unloading kickoff threshold value after parsing the
    command line argument.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.1 SR7
    7.0.0 SR6
    .
    The JVM has been updated to not reinitialize the class unloading
    kickoff threshold value after parsing the command line argument
