Due to the HTTPS connection being layered over an unconnected SSL Socket, the host/port information is not available when the SSLSocket create call is made to the WebSphere socket factory. This causes WebSphere to choose the wrong SSL Security context.
This defect will be fixed in: 7.0.0 SR6 . If the SSL Socket Factory belongs to WebSphere, then the unconnected non-SSL Socket will be created. WebSphere is dependent upon the first SSL Socket create call to contain the host/port information. The associated Hursley CMVC defect is 199521 The associated Austin CMVC defect is 114326 Platform affected: All platforms. JVMs affected: 7.0. Jars affected: ibmjsseprovider2.jar. The fix will be available in Java7_SR6. The build date is 20130806.
