Error description

  • Error Message: After upgrading the JRE from SR12 to SR13 the log
    level seems to be changed.
    Now with the recent build, starting the product shows a lot
    console output with log level "INFO".

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when setting root logger's level in
    configured class through reading configure file. After that, the
    level of the root logger is not as specified but default Info.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR15
    6.0.1 SR7
    .
    Code in LogManager explicitly ignores the new level user
    specified for root logger.
