Error description

  • Error Message: Applying IV36104 may cause an invalid
    authentication failure with the NTLM authentication scheme on
    Windows. By "invalid" we mean that the authentication may report
    a failure with the right pair of credentials - this means that
    the authentication would pass without the mentioned APAR.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused after applying IV36104.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR14
    7.0.0 SR5
    6.0.1 SR6
    .
    The class libraries have been modified to remove this
    side-effect of IV36104. This APAR does not, however, provide an
    alternate resolution to the problem of IV36104.
