    references to some missing GIF files which affects its look and
    feel and result in application packaging failure

Problem summary

  • With IBM Java 7 SR4, the following GIF files are missing from
    JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar under the package
    com/sun/tools/doclets/internal/toolkit/resources/
    background.gif
    tab.gif
    titlebar.gif
    titlebar_end.gif
    The generated javadoc have references to these missing files and
    its look and feel gets affected.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR5
    .
    IBM JVM has been updated  to include the missing GIF files.
