APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: JVM Trace assert "** ASSERTION FAILED ** at
    common/j9memtag.c:145: ((memoryCorruptionDetected))" is received
    when JVMTI agent deallocates the GetThreadGroupInfo returned
    memory pointer.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when the GetThreadGroupInfo function is
    called within multibyte locale(DBCS) environment.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR5
    6.0.1 SR6
    6.0.0 SR14
    .
    The JVM has been updated to set or return a complete memory
    address to the GetThreadGroupInfo caller.
