APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A segmentation fault can occur if (UNIT:ko4 ALL),
  (UNIT:ko4async ALL) or
  (UNIT:ko4async STATE) tracing is set for a TEMS.
  Currently it is not possible to run the TEMS with the above
  trace(s) set
  due to a defect that was recently introduced.
  

Local fix

• Do not set any of the following traces in the TEMS:
  (UNIT:ko4 ALL)
  (UNIT:ko4async ALL)
  (UNIT:ko4async STATE)
  

Problem summary

• The monitoring server may encounter a segmentation fault when
  specific RAS1 trace setting is applied.  For normal deployment
  of the monitoring server this defect will not occur.  However,
  should the monitoring server RAS1 trace setting be declared to
  include ko4async module with a trace level of ALL or STATE, the
  segmentation fault may occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed to prevent the segmentation fault.
