Error description
Editor for Messages Java Null Pointer Exception for File Unload
Local fix
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: Users running with Editor for Messages v2.0 IF08. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Edit for messages could raise Java Null pointer when you export a message using 'Unload' function. This occurs when there is no 'Put Date' and "Put Time" defined in message header which are required by Messages for Editor program.
Problem conclusion
Put Date and Put Time is set by the MQ application if MQPMO_SET_ALL_CONTEXT is used. For any reason this option is not used then the two may not have any value in MQ messages. Editor for Messages code is corrected to bypass the null putDateTime and move forward without raising null pointer exception. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | interim fix | 2.0.0-TIV-EDITORMSGS-IF0009
