Local fix

  • Don't use -Xgcpolicy:balanced or don't use
J9JVMTI_EVENT_COM_IBM_OBJECTS_RENAMED jvmti functionality.

Problem summary

  • The problem is an intermittent hang caused when using JVMTI
J9JVMTI_EVENT_COM_IBM_OBJECTS_RENAMED functionality with the
balanced policy.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
7.0.0 SR4
6.0.1 SR5
.
The code has been updated to properly so that it should no
longer hang while reporting object renames.
