IV35553: INCORRECT USE OF SYSTEMOUT IN AN EXCEPTION HANDLER

Error description

• Problem Description:   Whilst investigating a problem customer
  has
  noticed a class printing exception details direct to SystemOut
  (using
  System.out.println) rather than using the Logger.
  
  package: psdi.webclient.system.controller.ControlInstance
  Method: sigOptionCheck
  
  This makes it difficlut to debug issues for Administrators who
  has only
  access to Maximo Logs and Application Server standard out -
  especially
  in default WebLogic configuration where System Out is the
  Console which
  is not saved,
  
  Steps to replicate:   Not repicated the issue but check 7.5
  source and
  lines 678 and 679 confirm System.out.println is used.
  
  
  Version of Maximo: 7.x
  
  
  Application within Maximo:

Problem conclusion

• For the requested information to appear in the log, set the
  application logger to DEBUG. If not set to DEBUG, the output
  will be written to system.out.
