IV35437: PROSPECT CANNOT PROCESS DATA FILES BECAUSE THE CURRENT AND PREVIOUS DAYS CANDIDATERNCQUERY FILES DO NOT EXIST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Prospect server checks for today's and yesterday's candidate
  RNC query file and if it is not available it can not process the
  data files . This results in data files not getting generated
  and processed for multiple markets under that EMS for a few
  hours until a current candidate file is collected.
  

Local fix

• The current workaround is to manually copy the last available
  candidateRNCQuery file and changing its date in the filename to
  the current date. The candidateRncQuery file typically doesn't
  change much from day to day.
  

Problem summary

• The preParser_1x.pl script doesn't go far enough to find the
  last known candidateQueryRnc file.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is to perform an additional check for that last known
  file if the current day and previous day's files are not
  available.
