Error description

• On SUN Solaris OS, the attribute MAC Address of the
  "Network" attribute group returns value Not_Available
  even if a mac address for the interface exists.
  This can cause side effects in other areas, for instance,
  interfacing TADDM via the DLA book, this problem can
  cause duplicate entries in the TADDM database.
  
  Using the trace level KBB_RAS1=ERROR (UNIT:IFSTAT ALL),
  the following  trace record is associated to this MAC
  address problem:
   ifstat-svr4.cpp,791,"get_mac_addr") WARNING: open
        failed with errno 2 (No such file or directory)

Problem summary

• MAC address not available on Solaris 10.
