IV32951: ESIG ON STATUS CHANGE CAUSES PLEASE WAIT DIALOG TO HANG AND RELOAD PAGE MESSAGE.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When Esig is enabled on work order status change it causes the
please wait dialog to hang and eventually a reload message in
the browser. At that time user must exit and re-enter browser.
The status change does take place.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. In Dbconfigure, bring up workorder object.
2. On attribute tab, locate STATUS attribute and check the
Esignature Enabled flag. Save
3. Select Action> Manage Esig Actions. For Work Order
Tracking Enable esig for Change Status.
4. Turn Admin mode on then  /apply changes to configure the db.
5. Go to work order tracking and insert workorder and keep
changing status via change status dialog. (esign sign on dialog)
The Please Wait dialog appears and eventually goes away,
replaced by a new message that you must reload the page. You
must now close browser and sign back in.

Local fix

  • change libraryxml to not use longop dialog.
