    Problem Description:
    
    TEP Client showed 'Alert Details' as 'Not Applicable' for SQL
    Server
    Agent well but Data Provider doesn't return a data so the TIP
    Portal
    showed the DP error.'
    
    Detailed Recreation Procedure:
    - Connect to the SQL Server Agent to TEPS.
    - Under 'Errorlog Alerts', customer had 'Not Applicable' errors.
      - Need a help from agent team to get this error generated.
      TEP Client showed the data well with 'Not Applicable'.
    - However, by CURI Test tool, it returned 0 row.

Problem summary

  • The Data Provider does not properly handle timestamp conversion
    errors.  As a result, when the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Client
    displays a value of 'Not Applicable' for 'Alert Details' in the
    Microsoft SQL Server Agent, the Data Provider does not return
    any data.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Data Provider has been modified to correctly handle
    timestamp conversion errors.  The Data Provider will now return
    the correct enumerated value.
