Error description
NET_IF, NET_IF_IPV6 does not work well in case of hostname with more IPs addresses. The agent binf the TCP port on the fisrt intefrace of the list of the hostname IPs, if the hostname has more than one addresses it uses the first but does not respect the protocol, i mean if you set in NET_IF= host1.company.com and this host has two adrresses ( solved by the resolver - DNS / etc ) ::1 <some_ipv4_adress> the agent bind on the first address ::1 ( IPv6 ) instead the first Ipv4.
Local fix
Change the host resolution or bind for 0.0.0.0 and ::
Problem summary
The problem is that when the sock_addr data structure is created in agent process the address family is not specified and the system decides to return ipv4 or ipv6 addresses (since many addresses are defined). The fix is to explicitly specify the address family according to configuration.
Problem conclusion
This apar will be fixed 8.6.0-TIV-TWS-FP0003
