Problem summary

  • Some JNI API calls are not signal protected when calling the VM
(e.g. for class initialization). ?On threads without globally
registered signal handlers (i.e. Threads attached to the JVM, as
opposed to Threads created from Java), this can lead to crashes.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR13
    6.0.1 SR5
    7.0.0 SR4
    .
Signal handlers are registered for all necessary JNI APIs.
