  • Error Message: SelectionKey.interestOps(int) may not be honored
if there are concurrent select() operations on the same selector
on Windows Platform.

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • SelectionKey's interestOps update operation and Selector's
select() operations are not synchronized properly. Because of
this, there can arise a narrow timing window where in the
interestOps will remain unupdated.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR13
6.0.1 SR5
7.0.0 SR4
.
synchronization is introduced to maintain consistency in the
interestOps of a Channel with the target selector.
