Error description

  • Error Message: A GPF is received when calling JVMTI functions on
    an uninitialized instance of java.lang.Class?returned from
    iterateOverHeap() or iterateThroughHeap()
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .
    Issue occurs when the system is performing class loading when
    low on native memory.
    

Local fix

  • Disable JVMTI agent
    

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when an uninitialized instance of
    java.lang.Class is returned from the JVMTI
    iterateThroughHeap()/iterateOverHeap()
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR13
    7.0.0 SR4
    6.0.1 SR5
    .
    The JVM has been updated to not return uninitialized instances
    of java.lang.Class from iterateThroughHeap()/iteratorOverHeap().
