IV30065: CANNOT CREATE INTERFACE TABLE BECAUSE OF ALIASNAME DUPLICATES CONFLICT EXISTS FOR OBJECT STRUCTURE USER DEFINED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is attempting to create an Interface table for an
  Enterprise
  Service based on a duplicated Object Structure.  Receives the
  error
  "BMXAA6131E Selection of Interface table is not allowed due to
  object structure Alias conflicts. Table and Object Structure
  pair is: TEST_MIF_CONTRACTS/TESTPC".
  
  The TESTPC Object Structure has the Alias Conflict box Checked,
  but inthe Add/Modify Alias option does not identify any
  attributes that are duplicates.
  
  
  Steps to rproduce.
  
  Select an Object Structure that have Aliasnames for duplicate
  attributes but does not have the support flat files check box
  checked. (MXPC).
  
  Duplicate this Object structure giving it a unique name (TESTPC)
  and check the Support Flat Files check box and save the new
  Object Structure
  
  Upon saving the Object Structure the Alias Conflict flag will
  be checked
  
  In the Select Action Dropdown choose the Add/Modify Alias
  option.  For each Object you will not find any fields that has
  the duplicate checkbox checked.
  
  Goto the CONTRACTAUTH object and change the Aliasname of
  CA_VENDOR back to VENDOR .
  
  Go back into the Add/Modify Alias, goto the CONTRACTAUTH object
  and change the Aliasname of of the VENDOR field back to
  CA_VENDOR and click the OKAY Button.  The Alias Conflict flag
  will be cleared for the Object Structure.
  

Local fix

• In the Select Action Dropdown choose the Add/Modify Alias
  option.  Find an Attribute where it is part of more than Object
  of the Object structure and the Field value is not the same as
  the Aliasname value. Change the Aliasname to match the field
  value and click the Okay button.
  Go back into the Add/Modify Alias, goto the object that was
  changed and change the Aliasname of the field back to previous
  aliasname and click the OKAY Button.  The Alias Conflict flag
  will be cleared for the Object Structure.

Problem conclusion

• Do not allow to enable Flat File till Object Structure is saved.
