Local fix
To avoid the problem, you can specify the -Xnoaot command-line option to prevent the use of AOT code, but this workaround may have a negative effect on application performance.
Problem summary
When using WebSphere Real Time for Real Time Linux and Ahead Of Time (AOT) compiled code, the AOT compiled code did not always describe the complete meta-data to help the garbage collector (GC) decide what objects are live at the program points in the compiled code. If a GC cycle stopped a thread at just the wrong place, a live object could be missed by the garbage collector causing incorrect behaviour (perhaps even a crash or a JVM assertion) later on in application execution.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: WRT-V3 SR3 . The Ahead Of Time code compiler has been updated to correctly record all the meta-data required by the garbage collector so that live objects will not be lost.
