Error description

  • Error Message: An infinite loop will occur while executing
    commands in jdmpview or DTFJ that iterate over corrupt data. The
    interactive tool will be unresponsive and appear to hang.
    Depending on where the corruption is the hang could manifest
    itself upon jdmpview startup or it could manifest itself during
    the execution of a command, such as the !deadlock command.

Problem summary

  • This problem is caused when jdmpview or DTFJ iterates over
    corrupt data.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR3
    6.0.1 SR4
    .
    The core dump inspection framework has been updated to stop
    iterating if corrupt data is detected.
