APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: OutOfMememoryError is thrown
.
Stack Trace: N/A

Local fix

  • Configure larger heap memory to workaround it.

Problem summary

  • The problem occurs in case a lot of ResourceBundle objects are
created and the application allocates quite a large amount of
heap memory such as compiling (javac).  OutOfMemoryError is
thrown under that case.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR12
6.0.1 SR4
.
When in short of memory, ResourceBundle is now designed to
release unreferenced cached objects to have more heap memory for
client application.
