Local fix

  • This issue can be worked around using -Xgcpolicy:optthruput
    option.

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when the garbage collector tries to scan
the static field of a redefined class.
This issue only happens if JIT is disabled or the JDK is under
    the java debugger.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.1 SR4
    7.0.0 SR3
    6.0.0 SR12
    .
The JVM has been updated to prevent the crash from occurring
when the garbage collector scans redefined classes.
