IV28197: ALLOW FOR HISTORY COLLETION OF CCC OPLOG AT TEMS

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the Tivoli Enterprise Portal historical configuration dialog
    it does
    not allow for the CCC logs group "Operations Log" to be
    collected at the
    tems. It forces the collection at the "tema".
    
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
    Create a collection object under the CCC logs group "Operatiopns
    log".
    The histrical configuration dialog disables the collection
    location drop
    down list and forces the collection at the tema.
    

Local fix

  • edit the following file on the system where the teps is running.
    
    
    o4ssqlrv
    
    
    
    
    At line 39 in this file change
    
    From:
    
    SYSTEM.PARMA("HISTORY","IRA",3) AND
    
    
    to:
    
    SYSTEM.PARMA("HISTORY","${2}",3) AND
    
    
    
    Once this file is changed the teps will need to be recycled.
    
    After recycling the teps, logon to the tep client. You will have
    to
    delete any history collections that were previously creatd for
    the ccc
    oplog group. Then create a new collection for that group. At
    that point
    you should hae the ability to select the TEMS as the collection
    point.
    

Problem summary

  • The Tivoli Enterprise Portal historical configuration dialog
    does not allow for the CCC logs group "Operations Log" to be
    collected at the monitoring server.  It forces the collection at
     the monitoring agent.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Allow Operations Log historical data to be collected at the
    monitoring server.
