Error description
TAM ESSO V8.2 -packaging problem for DB2 on PA site Description: While installing DB2 getting SQL process error with return code 4. Please see attached for screen shots of steps taken during installation. Using Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise. Then, DB2 support team found that the following issue Had a look under their site id 7162424 for the eAssembly for this package and found the following: Higher level eAssembly is: IBM Security Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On V8.2 for Windows on x86-64-bit, Multilingual, eAssembly(CRH6TML) Includes: - IBM DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition V9.7 for Windows on AMD64 and Intelᄊᄅ EM64T systems (x64) English(CZVH3EN) - IBM DB2 V9.7 Enterprise Server Edition Restricted Use Quick Start Guide and Activation for Linux, UNIX and Windows Multilingual(CZL3UML) These are incompatible packages because you cannot apply an ESE license onto an AESE product. if you try to apply db2ese_o.lic which is the license file that comes with the ESE Restricted license that was packaged, it will not apply onto an AESE installation. Per DB2 L2 team lead said: if AESE was the edition that was supposed to come with ESSO, then the AESE license is the part number that should have been associated to the eAssembly. or vice versa if ESE was the one that it was suppsoed to come with, then the ESE install is the part number that should have been included. Steps to Duplicate: see problem description Desired Behavior: Make sure the license file and the installer are compatible. Environment: TAM ESSO v8.2,eAssembly(CRH6TML) , DB2 AESE version, DB2 ESE license file
