Local fix
Problem summary
On Windows platforms, if the Network Interface description were to contain Non-ASCI characters like characters with accent, JAVA will return question marks instead.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.0 SR12 6.0.1 SR4 7.0.0 SR3 . According to the Microsoft, MIB_IFROW structure contains Network Interface description in OEM encoding. Currently Java is considering the strings in different encoding causing this problem. Code is fixed to avoid this scenario.
