IV27278: IPV6 ADDRESS LOADING BEFORE IPV4 ON DUAL IP'D MICROSOFT VM'S.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • This issue has to do with IPv6 local link addresses causing
issues on Microsoft based systems. Specifically, the IPv6
    local link
address loads before the IPv4. According to Dev the same thing
    happens for
SLES, but due to it's arbitrary ordering we get the IPv4 first
    instead of
    IPv6, therefore hiding the issue.

Local fix

  • No workaround.
