IV26969: SPURIOUS PER ZAD EVENTS WHILE EXECUTING JIT-COMPILED CODE
Closed as program error.
Error Message: When a PER (program event recording) ZAD (zero address detection) SLIP trap is set for a Java program running on z/OS 1.13 (or newer), the trap can be triggered unnecessarily by JIT-compiled methods which contain incorrectly encoded instructions that perform otherwise correct program logic. These spurious PER ZAD events make the use of the SLIP trap difficult or impossible. . Stack Trace: N/A .
The problem is caused by the inappropriate use of registers by JIT-compiled code in the formation of memory addresses.
This defect will be fixed in: 6.0.0 SR11 5.0.0 SR14 . The JIT compiler has been updated to suppress the spurious PER ZAD events.
