Error description

• Error Message: The JVM hangs when attempting to write a javacore
  file.  The hang occurs when a preceding heapdump has failed to
  write due to a disk full error.

Local fix

• Disable heapdump and/or javacore generation.
  

Problem summary

• The problem is caused when a heapdump fails part-way through,
  due to a disk full error.
  A subsequent javacore request then hangs the JVM.
  

Problem conclusion

• This defect will be fixed in:
  7.0.0 SR3
  6.0.1 SR4
  6.0.0 SR12
  .
  The JVM has been updated to correctly handle the disk full
  error, so that the javacore request succeeds and the JVM does
  not hang.
