APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: On 6.0 (and 6.0_26), IBMJCE overwrites the
supportsParameter
method.  IBMJCE returns false for supportsParameter for a
Signature with a certain key type, but Signature.getProvider()
prints that the Provider in use is IBMJCE after
Signature.getInstance()
and after Signature.initSign() even though another Provider is
getting control and initializing the Signature (and ultimately
performing the Signature).

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR11
6.0.1 SR4
