APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a PR is created with a Standard Service, the PR Line
    includes the
    Item Number for the Std Service.  However, when you try to
    create a
    Purchase Contract from it, the Item Number is not brought over
    and an
    error message is received saying no item number is available.
    
    I reproduced issue on 7.1.1.10 + Oil&Gas 7.1.2.0
    
    
    Steps:
    1. PR app, create a new PR 83921, on PRLines tab add a new row
    for a
    standard service (line type), item= ELEV, order unit=EACH.
    Save.
    2. Purchase Contracts app, create a new contract 83921, Select
    Action |
    Copy PR Lines to Contract, filter for the PR created above
    and select it then click OK ---> get error  BMXAA3262E - Item
    number is
    required for this line type.
    
    NOTE:
    If , while still in PR app, you click Select Action | Create
    Contract
    then the contract is created correctly (including item
    number) and no error message is displayed.

Problem conclusion

  • User can now successfully copy standard service PR line to
    purchasing contract with the 'Copy PR Lines to Contract' action
