Local fix
N/A
Problem summary
The failing charsets did not throw MalformedInputException while detecting the malformed byte streams and hence the IgnoreMalformedInput request was not processed.
Problem conclusion
This defect will be fixed in: 5.0.0 SR15 . The JDK has been updated to throw the MalformedInputException while detecting malformed byte streams and thereby correctly process the IgnoreMalformedInput request. Implementing the fix to all DBCS codepages has a side effect. Hence, restricted the fix to MS936A. Other codepages will be considered on a case by case basis.
