Error description

  • Maximo Base Services 7.1.1.8

    Maximo mobile 7.1.1
    PDA gun Motorla Symbol

    Operating System:
    WME6.1

    Problem title

Issue with scan search on Receipts
    .
    Problem description
When using the receiving function within the Maximo Mobile
    Inventory
Manager application, the following issue occurs.

Having selected a PO, we then scan a barcode of an Item on a
    Line of
the PO. This correctly searches the POLines and selects the
    relevant
one. However, it immediately displays an error as in
    Photo_1.jpeg.

    (IBM Maximo mobile inventory screen)

    PO record 4503035294

Line - Item - Qty Due

    Warning message displayed on screen:

There is no more quantity due for PO line 1.

I.e. "There is no more quantity due for PO LINE n". This
    despite there
being quantity left as shown in Photo_2.jpeg.

    Line: 1
    Item: V7580066
    Qty Due: 1.00

If you click OK on the message, you can then proceed by clicking
    into
the POLine, from where everything works fine.

The device is a Motorla (fyi Symbol is the underlying tech and
    was
bought out by Motorola) and is one of the two listed proprietary
    types
from the installation instructions. It is in use with IBM for
    Maximo
7.1 at WME6.1 only. There are no firmware updates as it is
    brand new.

All scanning for other areas (e.g. issues) are working fine.

The scanning itself is not the issue rather it is the response
    of
    Maximo.

It actually finds the correct line when you scan the item
    barcode but
still tells you that there is no stock there to receive although
    there
is obviously stock there as it can subsequently be processed by
    Maximo.

Tested by L2 Maximo Support and same issue observed. If
I go to the PO Lines screen and scan an item number I get the
same error "there are no lines to receive."
