Error description

• Communications Server for AIX and Linux
  ---------------------------------------
  On a server participating in a Connection Network, when
  attempting to activate a session, if a Locate returns
  connection network information containing a hostname that
  when resolved has an IP address that matches an active
  link, the session activation will fail if the active link
  is configured with a different hostame even though it
  resolves to the same IP address.
  

Local fix

• Update DNS to be consistent across the network, to use only one
  hostname to refrence this server.
  

Problem summary

• When DNS aliases are used instead of the real hostname, a
  Connection Network link may resolve to the same IP address as an
  already active link, but because the hostnames used
  are different CommServer will not recognize this match.
  CommServer will attempt to activate a new link, and the link
  will fail to activate because it would duplicate an already
  active link.
  
  In a CommServer DLC trace, this would be seen as:
  SND>> CNCT_OUT REQ
  <<RCV CNCT_OUT RSP ERROR
  
  This behavior is incorrect.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been corrected to recognize when a Connection Network
  link would duplicate an already active link, so the already
  active link will be used.
