      PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
      NEW FUNCTION:
Add an option on the Remote API Client to define an LU
alias local to the individual client machine to reference
        an LU on the server.

      PROBLEM SUMMARY:
This allows simplification of configuration of client
applications. Client applications on multiple client systems
can be configured to use the same alias, while the mapping
allows for each Remote API Client to map the specified alias
to a different real LU on the server.

Problem conclusion

  • To enable this new function, on the Remote API Client system
create a new file named lualiasmap.txt
     - in the installation directory for a Windows client:
default C:\ibmcs\w64cli but may be overriden by a custom
        install.
     - in the configuration directory for a Unix client:
        - /etc/sna on AIX
        - /etc/opt/ibm/sna on Linux

The content of this file must be as follows:
Up to 32 text lines may be present in the file. Each line has
    the format:
    cccccccc ssssssss
where xxxxxxxx is the 8 character ASCII client-local alias
(padded with spaces on the right if necessary) provided by the
APPC or CPI-C application in TP_STARTED and ssssssss is the
server-side lu_alias that identifies the local LU on the server
to which the client-local alias is to be mapped.

There is precisely one space between the aliases (the server-
side alias must start at column 10. Either alias may be all
blank (to refer to the default LU pool or control point LU).
Lines shorter than 17 characters are padded with spaces to
reach 17 characters. Characters after position 17 are ignored
and may be used for comments. Lines beyond 32 are ignored.

Each TP_STARTED or CMALLC issued by the application is matched
against the configured list of alias maps until a match is
found. If no match is found, then the LU alias specified by
TP_STARTED will be used without modification.
