Local fix

Problem summary

  • Replacing the illegal UTF8 byte sequences with \uFFFD is not
working as the string conversion is modified to use IO
    converters.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR1
    .
This has been implemented in Java6 but same was not ported to
Java7 as it was decided that Java7 will use NIO converters. But,
Java7 also had to use IO converter just before GA for
performance reason and by that time the LIR for this was closed.
