Local fix

Problem summary

  • The problem occurs when synchronizing on an object that does not
have a lock word. Array objects never have a lock word. The
-Xlockword command-line option controls the lock word for all
    other objects.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    7.0.0 SR1
    6.0.1 SR1
    .
The problem was caused by a missing cast in the mechanism used
by the JVM to associate a monitor with an object that does not
have a lock word. This could result in multiple monitors being
associated with a single object. Consequently, the JVM could
attempt to exit a different monitor than the one that had
    previously been entered.
